Welcome to the Dr. Jonas E. Salk School! Named for a hero who was deemed "The Man Who Saved the Children," Dr. Jonas E. Salk is a place where everyone works collaboratively to provide a safe, happy, and invigorating learning environment. We are dedicated to academic excellence and to the development of individuals of good character. Salk's dynamic school community is committed to working as a team to ensure that our students are actively engaged in a rigorous, standards-based, cohesive core curriculum that is meaningful and pertinent to their lives. We hold high expectations for our students and are unified in the belief that all students can achieve high standards. The district-adopted Positive Behavioral Intervention & Supports (PBIS) program provides a foundation for a positive and respectful learning atmosphere. Students are recognized daily, both in classrooms and school-wide, for exhibiting the qualities of our Hawks Rules! (Have respect, Act responsibly,Work together, Keep safe and Soar to success!).
