Magnolia School District And Five Schools Earn 2026 California Honor Roll Recognition

Congratulations to our District and five recognized schools, each earning the Star School designation:

  • Dr. Albert Schweitzer Leadership Academy
  • Dr. Jonas Salk School
  • Dr. Peter Marshall School
  • Juliette Low School of the Arts
  • Lord Baden-Powell School

The Star School designation recognizes high-performing schools where at least one-third of students come from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds. This distinction is especially meaningful as it highlights schools that achieve strong academic results while serving students who may face additional educational and economic challenges. Having five schools earn this recognition reflects Magnolia School District's commitment to providing high-quality educational opportunities and supporting the success of all students.

This year's recognition continues a tradition of academic excellence across Magnolia School District. In 2025, Juliette Low School of the Arts, Dr. Peter Marshall School, and Dr. Albert Schweitzer Leadership Academy earned ERP Honor Roll recognition for the third consecutive year. With their inclusion on the 2026 list, all three schools have now been recognized for four consecutive years! The 2026 Honor Roll also recognizes Dr. Jonas Salk School and Lord Baden-Powell School, bringing the total number of Magnolia schools honored this year to five.

The ERP Honor Roll is one of the nation's largest recognition programs for public schools. Using student achievement data, the program identifies schools demonstrating strong academic performance, improvement over time, and success in supporting student achievement.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the Magnolia School District Board of Trustees and Superintendent Dr. Frank Donavan for their innovative leadership and continued commitment to providing high-quality educational programs. Their vision and dedication to creating exceptional learning opportunities help provide the foundation for the academic excellence and student achievement reflected in these recognitions.

We also congratulate the students, teachers, staff, administrators, and families of our five recognized schools. Their hard work, dedication, and collaboration continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students and throughout our District.

Congratulations to all five schools on this outstanding achievement!
